Rene Guevara is a digital art teacher in California’s central valley. Originally a traditional artist, Rene discovered his enthusiasm for technology in 2001 by way of animation. While taking traditional animation classes at San Francisco State University, a friend recommended the use of NewTek’s Lightwave. Since that day technology has been at the forefront of Rene’s hobbies and career.
Soon after graduating SFSU Rene chose education as his career. In 2006 he was asked to begin a digital arts program at the middle school level and after three years was brought over to the high school to do the same. Over the years Rene has taught several college classes and is now at home in his current position teaching high school journalism (yearbook and magazine design), photography, video production, and multimedia.
